Trip Overview

Tibet and Nepal are two of the most stunning and characteristic tourists destinations under the foot of the Himalayas. Their unique culture and breathtaking nature differ and blend, making them the most dreamed tourists destinations in the world. Different from dominating 7 days Lhasa to Kathmandu overland tour on market, this 8 days tour enjoys one more night stop at Shegar (Tingri) County, which not only makes the journey more relaxed but also brings one more night vital acclimatization before arrival to the lofty Everest Base Camp. Concerning the altitude sickness, sleeping one night at Shegar (Tingri) with an altitude of 4300 meters can be extremely helpful to your highlighted goal of Everest Base Camp with an altitude of 5200 meters. What’s more, we handpick historically unique Sakya Monastery en-route, making this tour definitely worthy of your time and money. In one word, this 8 days Lhasa-Kathmandu overland tour not only covers all that 7 days program offers but also goes in a more considerate way.

About 10 km before arriving our destination, according to the rules, we have to take local green-bus to reach Rongbuk Monastery which is just located besides the site of the guesthouse and tents for the tourists staying overnight at Everest Base Camp. Note that this Everest Base Camp is for normal tourists only, not for mountaineers who will go further 4km. Rongbuk Monastery is the highest monastery in the world with both monks and nuns, and it is also the best position to take a picture of soaring Mt. Everest peak. We could do some short hiking around the Rongbuk Monastery and explore more on this base camp since we have the whole afternoon free of time. Also, the sunset view over the peak of Mt. Everest is stunning breathtaking when weather is clear enough. Stay overnight here at local tent guesthouse or at Rongbuk Guesthouse depends on weather and availability.

Mr. Mi*** from: 8 Days Lhasa to Kathmandu Himalayan Panoramic Tour
November 25, 2019 20:46

Guten Tag
