News from Shigatse Everest Culture Tourism Investment Development Co., Ltd says that according to the announcement of the Mount Everest Bureau of Dingri County, any units and individuals were prohibited from entering the core area of Mount Everest (above Rongbuk Monastery) since December 5, 2018. Tourists can enjoy the fantastic view of the EBC in Rongbuk Monastery and nearby.
Recently there are more and more new policies to protect the environment of Mount Everest. In the beginning, above Rongbuk Monastery, people can trek 5km further, then 1km further. Now people can only see the view of Mount Everest near Rongbuk Monastery.
Tourism Authorities in Tibet Autonomous Region of China will introduce environmentally friendly electric vehicles to the Mt. Everest Base Camp (EBC) starting next year.
The local tourism development commission of Dingri County, where the EBC is located, said they have also made a rough plan to gradually ban non-electric vehicles to the camp in the near future.

Hi, I plan to arrive in Lhasa on the 9th of March in 2020 by train and would like to do a 4 day tour. Unfortunately there are no tours scheduled between January and April, will there be tours added or are there not any planned?
